buzzbishop.com: What Did You Do With Your First Wedding Photos?

  • Michael Kwan · 6 months ago
Having never been married, I am perhaps the least qualified to chime in on this subject. That said, I am hesitant to delete anything. The deletion, by and large, is forever and it's a decision that you may choose to regret down the road. You never know where life's road may take you. At the time, you were probably pretty sure she was the right one. That's why you got married. Months later, you learned that wasn't the case. Mistake or not, it was an important part of your life.

I agree with Michael Kwan. While your first marriage may be something you want to erase from your life it always will be a part of you. Your first wedding day likely was the happiest day of your life at that time. I would have saved a few pictures, including one with the step-daughter (never underestimate the power of a father-figure in a young girl's life however short) and put them away in a safe place where other memories of a past life are stored and not readily available.

Blessings and good luck as you start this newest journey of your life this weekend. :-)

I think it is a really nice gesture towards your soon-to-be-wife.

Good luck with your wedding tomorrow and I can't wait to see the photos!

Hey Buzz... I wish you and Jen much, much, much happiness! Congrats (a day early) on the wedding!

I'm in a similar boat -- I have printed copies of the photos. I'm not sure why I keep them, but I was also with him for 13 years, so that was a significant chunk of my life. But, I don't wistfully look at them, and it was my decision to end the marriage. Come to think of it, he didn't want them either. Hmmm... I think I'll do some purging.
