Really?! Another change? Crave lasted like 5 minutes.
Did they ax Nat and Drew this time too? I'm coming back to the Van area next week but there better be some Nat and Drew on my airwaves or else it's Sirius all day every day!

While the Crave brand was growing, the chance to grab something as vibrant, energetic and creative as the Virgin name was just too good to pass up.

You'll see all the same crew, with some of us assuming exciting new roles. It's going be great - you'll love it.

I can hardly wait! I love my crave but I trust your judgement, if you say it will be good then I am already a fan!!

I listened to the new format this morning (3:00 a.m) and again in the morning with Nat & Drew. I was not taken by it. I found it to be too disco'ish and very little hip hop and a lot of what was termed in the 60s as "bubble gum" music. I listened and I'll try again this weekend and hopefully it will improve. I'm hoping it was only the kick off music that made it so monotonous in its disco type of sound. What was just perfect at Crave FM may be lost now with Virgin. I hope not. But I did change stations this morning.

Same format different name. If Virgin want to have an "edge" on the other Vancouver radio stations they should follow the Virgin Radion uk format

Honestly? We are going to be close to the same. Crave wasnt totally broken. It had a strong audience, growth in the right direction and was successful.

That said, the chance to join something as powerful as the Virgin family was too good to pass, and we're proud to wave that flag.

As for becoming Virgin UK, well .. everything's greener on the other side of the world, isnt it? Check out the UK Hit 40 on Sunday nights for your dose of BritPop.

So far I'm really enjoying the mix of music. Especially the not often heard older music and stuff that is more commonly heard in Europe. Can't wait to see what hear the UK hit 40

I'm loving the mix that you guys are putting on here, but would love to have a visual playlist so I can find out the song titles and artists are. Is there a way of finding this out, or are you guys still working on a website that will provide all this info. Thanks for your help!!! :)

The website had some issues at launch, so we stripped back to the nuts and bolts of streaming, phone number and still a way to interact with us via facebook.

The web is being rebuilt and should be go for re-launch by the end of the month.

    Thanks for your patience.

Just my opinion - but there's nothing wrong with some 'disco' on the airwaves. People complaining about lack of hip hop? Come on, go listen to 94.5 if you want the same 10 songs 15 times a day for 3 months. Oh, but then you'd hate those songs. Sometimes some high energy electronica is a nice addition, although I will admit at times it seems out of place in the mix.

Whatever, no radio station will ever satisfy everyone. It just can't be done. Filling a local spot that the other stations aren't doing makes Virgin stand out a little bit more, as far as I see it.

I love the idea of having more european (or just international for that matter) music on local radio. Go Virgin!
