buzzbishop.com: Is Charisma an Election Issue?

  • Meg · 1 year ago
I'm a very, very high Obama match, so it's good that he's my candidate of choice. I won't deny charisma plays a role in things, though. It's how MUCH role that starts to concern me. I wish it came down to issues and not strength of oration, but in the modern media age, power too often comes from presence.

I'm for Mike Gravel, apparently, with a second place for Barack Obama. Thanks for the pointer to that site--that's a really simple, elegant implementation.

I would like to check out an analysis of the different positions between Obama and Clinton, because I've read in multiple places that, platform-wise, there's very little to choose between them.

Buzz, it seems to me that the BQ was the best fit for a vehement nationalist. That's a nationalist party. Just a different nation.

Good thoughts here. I think charisma is going to be an asset when it comes to selling America abroad. Clinton was more charismatic than either Bush and he was able to do more for the Middle East and foreign policy in general. That's why I'm diggin' Obama.
